2025 IW U.S. 500: Top Construction and Agricultural Equipment Manufacturers

July 19, 2025
Half of the construction and agricultural machinery manufacturers on the 2025 IW U.S. 500 reported a drop in revenue in fiscal 2024.

It was a mixed bag of results for manufacturers of agriculture and construction machinery and equipment in 2024, according to the lastest IndustryWeek U.S. 500, an annual listing of the biggest publicly held U.S. manufacturing companies. The 2025 listing is based on 2024 annual revenue.

Twenty-two members of the 2025 IW U.S. 500 were makers of agriculture/construction equipment. Of those, six of the Top 10 saw revenue decline in 2024, as did 11 of the full list of 22. Wabash National Corp., which came in at No. 15, saw the biggest drop at just over 23%, a result of lower demand for trailers.

On a more positive note, just eight of the 22 manufacturers in this category saw a decline in net income. Cummins' net income soared by more than 400% compared to the previous year.

A few more numbers: The combined revenue of these 22 manufacturers was nearly $254 billion, while the average was $11.539 billion.
