Union workers have approved a deal to keep open a Hugo Boss men's suit plant in Ohio where workers got the support of actor Danny Glover.
Union officials did not immediately know the margin of the April 23 ratification vote or offer details of the three-year agreement. It was announced earlier in the day by the company and union leaders.
Hugo Boss had said the plant in the Cleveland suburb of Brooklyn was not globally competitive when it announced in late December that it would close the facility April 27. The company had sought concessions from the plant's 375 workers to keep it open.
Actor and activist Glover gathered twice with workers to show support and asked stars not to wear Hugo Boss suits to this year's Oscars.
