Canadian Government Receives Lithium-Powered Benz, PT Cruiser

Vehicles to be evaluated to identify potential of, potential barriers to widespread use of green technologies.

Lithium-powered product developer/marketer Hybrid Technologies, Inc. recently announced a contract with the Canadian Federal Government's ecoTransport program for delivery of its emissions-free Daimler Chrysler Lithium-powered PT Cruiser and the Mercedes Benz Lithium-powered Smart Car.

The vehicles, purchased under contract by the Ministry of Transportation Advanced Technology Vehicles Program, will be evaluated on their fuel efficiency, emissions, and safety performance; identifying the market potential of their advanced technologies. As well, the evaluation will help to identify barriers of using advanced technologies and propose solutions.
