GE recently released its 2007 citizenship report entitled "Investing in a Sustainable Future" that highlights the company's progress on its 2006 commitments and provides a view into its priorities for the coming year. It marks the company's third report of this kind, and focuses on the interdependence between business strategy and corporate citizenship as it relates to social and environmental issues in emerging markets.
For this years report, GE convened a Stakeholder Report Review Panel that provided feedback on the companys reporting process and content. The result of the engagement can be viewed in the Review Panel Commentary, published unedited in the report. Other notable content includes the release of the GE Statement of Principles on Human Rights. Finally, the report will also be available to users in its entirety or customizable by section and topic via the companys website at www.ge.com/citizenship. This will enable stakeholders to review specific items relevant to their area of interest. The report will be translated into French, Spanish, German, Italian and Chinese (Mandarin).
The report can be viewed and downloaded online at www.ge.com/citizenship
