American Tire Corp. finalized a plan to build a 130-acre manufacturing complex in Washington state. The $500 million facility will consist of seven manufacturing plants, two warehouses, a multifunction distribution center and a research and training building, the company announced on Feb. 3.
The facility is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2009 with a full capacity of 50,000 giant off-road radial tires, which includes 24,000 units of all sizes of 63-inch tires per year.
The company plans to include state-of-the-art tire-building machines and vulcanizing equipment on site.
