Last month, Sucid Corp, an Austin, Texas-based SAP testing company, announced a new product, Sucid Security, that allows security administrators to run automated tests to see whether employees have access to function that are required to do their jobs. The product also protects corporate data while maintaining regulatory compliance.
"Security continues to top the list of concerns for information technology executives, and it has now also become a top concern for CFOs with the introduction of regulatory legislation such as Sarbanes-Oxley," said David Wilson, CEO of Sucid.
With this application, the administrator can test an individual user or group, or run a test for a security profile. Both positive and negative tests can be run to ensure that business users can do what they are supposed to do, and cannot do what they are not supposed to do.
