Invitations are out for the next Apple event happening March 9, in San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center.
All the invite says, is Spring Forward, a reference to the return to Daylight Saving Time which happens the day before.
The invite gave no details on what will be announced, but the reference to time, and a clue from CEO Tim Cook during Apple’s last earnings call, means it’s likely the Apple Watch is ready for delivery, possibly as soon as April.
The watch should be the highlight, but most likely not the only new product. Rumor has it the MacBook Air line will now include a 12-inch Retina version, according to Wired, which also speculated on a new 12.9-inch “iPad Pro” launching closer to summer. Another possibility, a freshening up for Apple TV, which hasn’t seen an upgrade since 2012.
The Apple smartwatch would be the company’s first introduction of a major new product since the release of the iPad in 2010.
