A recent survey from hiring firm Manpower Inc. shows 41% of 4,804 Mexican employers polled had difficulty finding skilled talent. Machine maintenance outsourcing provider Advanced Technology Services Inc. (ATS) is hoping to provide some relief for Mexican plants seeking skilled labor.
The Peoria, Ill.-based company opened its first foreign office in Monterrey, Mexico, in January as the first step in its expansion plan. "We are steadily expanding our footprint outside of the United States and see more growth opportunity in Mexico," says Jeffrey Owens, president of ATS.
