STOCKHOLM — Volvo Buses said Tuesday it had received an order for 475 hybrid buses from the Canadian province of Quebec, the Swedish company's biggest hybrid bus order to date.
The financial details of the order were not disclosed.
Deliveries of the diesel-electric buses are scheduled to begin in early 2014 through Volvo Buses' North American subsidiary, Nova Bus, the company said in a statement.
The customer, ATUQ, is a consortium consisting of the province's nine transit authorities.
The order also includes an option for an additional 1,200 buses.
