IW U.S. 500: Computer and Communications Equipment Companies (slideshow)
Nov. 15, 2023
As with this year's top semiconductor and equipment company list, we scrubbed from the list companies that don't actually own plants and manufacture products. You therefore will not see Apple or Microsoft on this year's list, for example.
But this just means Dell and HP take thier rightful places at #1 and #2 in 2023 versus #3 and #5 last year, among other companies making appropriate jumps up the list.
Highlights from this year's rankings include:
- IBM substantially grew its cybersecurity footprint
- Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company made news with its AI and supercomputer projects
- Motorola completed numerous smart and strategic acquisitions
- Xerox shored up its presence in the additive manufacturing sector
