7 Million Keurig Coffee Machines Recalled on Burn Risk

Keurig Green Mountain Inc. is recalling about 7.2 million single-serve hot coffee brewing machines because there is a burn risk.

Keurig Green Mountain Inc. (IW 500/221) (GMCR) is recalling about 7.2 million single-serve hot coffee brewing machines because there is a burn risk for users if water overheats and sprays out of the machines.

The recall involves the Keurig MINI Plus Brewing Systems made between December 2009 and July 2014 that have a model number of K10 and serial numbers starting with 31.

Keurig said the glitch is more likely to more likely to occur if more than two cups are brewed in quick succession.
