Kunzler & Co. Chooses Catalyst International

Compiled ByJill Jusko Smoked meat processor Kunzler & Co. Inc., based in Lancaster, Pa., is looking to Catalyst International Inc. to help it manage its three distribution sites. Kunzler has purchased the CatalystCommand warehouse management system, including hardware, software and services, to help the company improve its inventory control and overall distribution process efficiency. "We are looking to create a new infrastructure for our distribution processes to gain true warehouse control," says Kunzler operations manager Ron Fink. "Our industry demands robust technology in the areas of lot tracking, product rotation and quality assurance." The Catalyst system will give Kunzler the ability to load outbound trucks in reverse route-stop format. Implementation of CatalystCommand software is expected to occur in April at the meat processors primary distribution center and then rolled out to its two other sites. Catalyst International is based in Milwaukee.
