Only days after Ford Motor Co.'s announced purchase of AB Volvo's car division for $6.4 billion, the Swedish company is looking around the world for an opportunity to expand its heavy truck production. Reportedly among its potential targets is Bellevue, Wash.-based Paccar Inc. Sweden's Scania AB, another heavy-truck maker, is said to be another possibility. As is Man Nutzfahrzeuge AG, the German truck company. Shares in its parent Man AG have been surging on speculation that the subsidiary might be on the block.
