Kodak President Resigns To Take Reins At Lucent Technologies

Patricia F. Russo has resigned her position as president and COO of Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester, N.Y., to become the CEO of Lucent Technologies Inc., the companies announced Jan.7. She had held the Eastman Kodak positions since April 2001. Kodak Chairman and CEO Daniel A. Carp will assume the responsibilities of president and COO. The changes are effective immediately. At Lucent Russo succeeds Henry Schacht, who will serve as chairman of the company for an interim period of undetermined length. Russo returns to Lucent, where she helped launch the AT&T spin-off in 1996. Lucent Technologies is based in Murray Hill, N.J.
