In the final months of 2003 and early next year, companies will be increasing their recruitment efforts for executives, according to ExecuNet, an online executive career management service. In interviews with 129 recruiters, ExecuNet found that 67% expect their business to pick up in the next six months, 8% said they are not confident the employment market will improve, while 25% said they are somewhat confident. In looking three months out, 34% of recruiters are very confident the job market will pick up, while 44% are somewhat confident, and 22% are not confident. "The consensus among recruiters is that the market has hit bottom and is climbing it's way back up," says Mark Anderson, ExecuNet president.
