Upcoming Workshops Focus On Supply-Chain Management

Compiled ByJill Jusko APICS --The Educational Society for Resource Management has scheduled several supply-chain-management workshops that include hands-on training. Scheduled for Nov. 29-30 in Tampa, Fla., is Purchasing and Materials Management: Creating a Seamless Process. This workshop is geared toward persons involved in inventory control, purchasing, or materials management. Workshop attendees will participate in business simulations of various business processes. Slated for Dec. 3-5 in Orlando is Basics of Supply-Chain Management. Anyone who is active in, or plans to become active in, production planning, purchasing, or operational control is invited to attend. This workshop will discuss industry fundamentals. APICS is a non-profit educational organization based in Alexandria, Va.
