The Arlington, Va.-based Chemical Manufacturers Assn. will hold its annual Responsible Care Conference on May 1 to 3 at the Wyndham Palace Hotel in Orlando. The event for environmental, health, and safety professionals will feature more than 20 educational sessions. Among the topics discussed will be the emergence of online shopping, warehousing, and transporting of chemicals; leveraging the power of the Internet to improve corporate communications; and issues and developments in Internet security. Featured speakers will include Reg Green, the health, safety, and environment officer for the International Federation of Chemical, Energy, Mine and General Workers' Unions; and Linda Greer, senior scientist from the Natural Resources Defense Council. The event also will include an expo showcasing more than 40 exhibiting companies.
