Dupont Logistics Presents Carrier of the Year Awards

Trans Gulf Transportation Inc. and Adams Motor Express Inc. recently received Carrier of the Year awards from DuPont Logistics for "exceptional service" to E.I. Du Pont De Nemours & Co. business units in 2002. "These carriers are among the very best the trucking industry has to offer large, complex shippers such as DuPont," says Dupont's Mario Hegewald, leader of the Global Logistics Center of Excellence. "During 2002 these carriers delivered on all fronts." Trans Gulf, based in LaPorte, Texas, and Adams Motor Express, Carnesville, Ga., were judged "superior on safety, zero distribution incidents, billing accuracy, no loss or damage claims and number of business units served," DuPont said in a statement. Twenty-three carriers also received outstanding service awards. DuPont is based in Wilmington, Del.
