The U.S. Dept. of Energy's (DOE) Office of Industrial Technologies will hold the third Industrial Energy Efficiency Symposium and Expo on Feb. 7-9. The event will be held at the Renaissance Washington (D.C.) hotel. More than 100 exhibitors and 1,000 attendees are expected. Included will be sessions on topics such as combustion, information technology and trends, sensors, controls, and robotics. Expo speakers also will provide insights into such U.S. policy issues as climate change, the future of government/industry R&D partnering, and state-level initiatives. "What makes this event especially valuable is that it is both visionary and practical," says Denise Swink, DOE's deputy assistant secretary for industrial technologies. "Attendees will be exposed to a wide range of technologies that could improve their energy efficiency and impact their industries and markets. This will be a great opportunity for industry decisionmakers to secure valuable intelligence and contacts that can provide a competitive edge."
