Emerald Hilton Davis, LLC, a subsidiary of chemical additive and polymer manufacturer Emerald Performance Materials, LLC, announced that it has acquired the carbon black dispersions business and assets of Wolstenholme International Ltd., a manufacturer of the dispersions which are used for printing inks, coatings and plastics.
Wolstenholmes manufacturing facility located in West Chicago, Ill., is included in the transaction. Other terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition of Wolstenholmes carbon black dispersions business helps us accomplish three important strategic goals. It broadens our water-based product offering, adds resin based black dispersions that we do not offer currently, and provides established customer relationships in our target markets," said James Donnelly, business director of Emerald Hilton Davis.
