Honeywell’s Global Analysis, Research and Defense (GARD) team has been tracking and analyzing USB-borne malware for six consecutive years. This year there are several interesting new observations.
This year there are several interesting new observations to make concerning the types of malware discovered, how they operate and what that implies about the sophistication of the adversary. For example, there are indications that adversaries have a strong understanding of industrial environments and how they operate as well as indications that show prominent malware capabilities reflecting “living off the land” (LotL) strategies that have been observed in recent global cybersecurity incidents.
