Hans Kissle to Invest $42.2 Million in New Manufacturing Facility
Foods manufacturer Hans Kissle Co. to create 219 jobs and invest $42.2 million to build a manufacturing facility at the Apple Creek Corporate Center in Gastonia, North Carolina, according to the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC).
According to the EDPNC, Hans Kissle chose the North Carolina site based on numerous factors, including training possibilities, thriving agriculture and variety of crops grown throughout the year. The private nonprofit corporation also played a role in connecting Hans Kissle with local governments during the selection process.
“Our state has the third largest food and beverage industry in the United States with over 65,000 workers supporting this growing industry, and we are proud Hans Kissle chose North Carolina,” said Christopher Chung, CEO of the EDPNC.
The company, which manufactures ready-to-eat and seasonal fresh food items for retail, convenience stores and foodservice, will have the ability to expand distribution with the addition of this new facility.
