ByJohn S. McClenahen By the end of March, a new American Business Conference (ABC) is expected to make its debut. The existing American Business Conference, a coalition of CEOs of midsized growth companies is merging with the Association of Publicly Traded Companies (APTC), an advocate for mid- and small-cap public companies. The new ABC will have its headquarters in Washington, D.C. For 20 years the existing ABC has been a public policy leader on such issues as tax reform, trade liberalization, and capital formation. During the past decade, APTC has been a key player in securities litigation reform, corporate governance, and proxy process and accounting standards reviews.
