Compiled ByJill Jusko The National Assn. of Purchasing Management and Florida State University will present the Ninth Annual Supply Management Program Feb. 18-22, 2002, on the Tallahassee campus of the university. The program is titled "Developing Excellence in Supply Management." The program's aim is to help supply-management professionals meet their goals of customer service, profitability and growth. To that end, the program will address topics that include leveraging e-commerce systems to improve strategic sourcing, understanding the total-cost concept and analyzing supplier pricing proposals, understanding the use of performance measures to improve supply management, and updating traditional purchasing skills. All participants receive 28 continuing education hours toward the Certified Purchasing Manager recertification or Accredited Purchasing Practitioner reaccreditation designation.
