Oct. 5, 2016
The manufacturing community comes together to inspire the next generation of manufacturers.

October 7 is Manufacturing Day 2016, but Manufacturing Month already is off to a fast -- and social media shared -- start.

Several manufacturing companies already have presented factory tours and answered numerous questions from eager students and interested neighbors alike. Others are sharing their thoughts on what it is to be a manufacturer and how proud they are to be part of a community that makes things.

Partners with the manufacturing community have been no less engaged, talking about workforce needs, STEM and where new technologies will take the future of manufacturing.

According to the latest data, more than 2,500 events are planned in celebration of modern manufacturing – with others still to come, no doubt.
